Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, four children set off firecrackers on the face of a statue of Mahatma Gandhi during the Diwali festival in Bowenpally.
According to the police, the children, aged between 15 and 16, carried out the act as a prank. Among the four, two had dropped out of school in their 6th and 7th classes, while the other two are still studying.
The police are currently deciding on further action. They are considering issuing a notice and are seeking legal advice on whether to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the children, who are currently in police custody.
