Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to establishing a welfare board for Gulf and other overseas workers. He addressed various workers associations representing Gulf workers in Telangana, expressing the Congress government’s empathy towards the challenges faced by those who work abroad.

Revanth Reddy explained that the delay in setting up the Welfare Board was due to the enforcement of the MCC. However, he assured that the State government will establish this Board by September of this year. The government plans to provide insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh, set up a Passport Assistance Centre, and offer a month of training for individuals going abroad to ensure a smoother relocation process.
