Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid tribute to the late K. Rosaiah on his third death anniversary, recalling his outstanding contributions in various capacities, including as Governor and Finance Minister. Speaking at an event at HICC on Wednesday, Revanth credited Rosaiah’s fiscal discipline as a key factor behind Telangana’s surplus budget of ₹16,000 crore at the time of its formation.

Revanth shared his personal experiences with Rosaiah, describing him as a source of encouragement and wisdom. He recalled how Rosaiah, despite their political differences, invited him to his office, offered valuable advice, and motivated him to study extensively to improve his performance in legislative debates. Revanth noted that Rosaiah’s guidance left a lasting impact on his political journey.

The Chief Minister highlighted Rosaiah’s role in ensuring stability and smooth governance during his tenure. He remarked that while several Chief Ministers came and went, Rosaiah’s presence as a dependable leader in the second-in-command position remained consistent. Revanth also pointed out that Rosaiah never sought the Chief Minister’s role but was entrusted with it during a challenging time by Sonia Gandhi, reflecting her trust in his abilities.
