Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended his greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Dasara. He highlighted the special significance Dasara holds in the cultural life of the state.
The Chief Minister mentioned that Dasara, also known as ‘Vijayadashami,’ is celebrated across the country as a symbol of victory. He emphasized how the festival brings families together, showcasing the unity among all communities in Telangana.
Revanth Reddy also reminded people of an important tradition in the Telangana region — performing the ‘shami puja’ and exchanging ‘jammi’ leaves, which are considered as valuable as gold, during the Alai Balai celebrations on Dasara day.
Lastly, he prayed to Goddess Durga, asking for success and happiness for the people of Telangana.
