Hyderabad: Telangana’s Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, unveiled a bold plan to enhance urban, semi-urban, and rural areas with major infrastructure projects. Speaking at the Credai Hyderabad Property Show at Hitex, he emphasized that Hyderabad will be a key growth area, along with other economic centers in the state.

He stated that real estate, construction, and infrastructure will help Telangana achieve significant development. He reassured investors of clear governance, legal protection, and profitable ventures, declaring, “Telangana is open for business.”

Infrastructure is central to this growth, with plans for a 300–360-km Regional Ring Road (RRR), alongside a regional rail system, industrial corridors, new highways, and port projects. Additionally, 11 radial roads will connect the RRR to the Outer Ring Road (ORR), and a dry port will be developed on the Hyderabad–Amaravati Greenfield Highway.

The government aims to expand the metro rail to Shamirpet and Medchal, ensuring better coverage. Multi-modal transport systems will be introduced to address traffic in densely populated areas.

Revanth Reddy’s growth strategy includes three zones: an Urban Service Sector inside the ORR for IT and financial expansion, a Semi-Urban Industrial Growth area between the ORR and RRR for manufacturing, and a Rural Agricultural Modernization zone beyond the RRR to connect rural products to markets. He noted that real estate signifies more than land; it represents opportunity and business potential.

Acknowledging financial hurdles from the previous administration, he shared that Rs26,000 crore of loans have been restructured at 7.5% interest over 35 years. He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to consider similar arrangements for Rs2 lakh crore in high-interest loans.

Addressing criticism about his frequent visits to New Delhi, Revanth Reddy explained that key project approvals need central government consent. He remarked, “If the central government is in Delhi, I have no option but to go there,” adding that staying in a CM bungalow helps speed up approvals. He also cited contributions from past leaders and promised to build a memorable city.

“My name will also be etched in history forever,” he declared, committing his energy and dedication to Telangana’s growth.
