Heavy rains have severely affected the combined Warangal district, causing ravines to overflow and stopping traffic in several areas.
On Friday night, intense rain hit Nallabelli mandal, resulting in overflowing ravines that blocked roads and brought traffic to a halt in many spots. In Venkatapuram mandal of Mulugu district, high waters from ravines are creating dangerous situations.
Mallapuram, Seetharampuram, and Kalipaka ravines are also overflowing, leading to traffic delays. The Peddavagu river between Pegadapalli and Keshapur villages in Mahamuttharam mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district is flowing violently. This has completely blocked the Kataram-Medaram road, affecting traffic in 16 villages, including Medaram.
Local authorities advise residents to be cautious and stay informed as emergency services evaluate the impact of the heavy rains.
