Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the first Telangana Public School in Arutla village, marking a significant milestone in the state’s education sector. The school offers English-medium education from nursery to intermediate on a single campus, equipped with modern facilities including digital classrooms, science labs, and a well-stocked library. Students will benefit from free transport services through 5 buses, along with access to a dining hall, gymnasium, sports facilities, and playgrounds. The comprehensive infrastructure aims to provide quality education and holistic development opportunities for students in the region.

The state government has ambitious plans to expand this initiative across Telangana, with 100 Telangana Public Schools planned for establishment throughout the state. The government has allocated ₹26,674 crore for education in the Budget 2026-27, demonstrating its commitment to transforming the education landscape. Each school will receive an average investment of ₹15 crore, ensuring that students across the state have access to world-class educational facilities and resources.

Beyond infrastructure development, the government has launched several welfare schemes to support students. An allocation of ₹688 crore has been earmarked for providing uniforms, shoes, bags, and other essential items, benefiting nearly 27 lakh students across the state. In a move that promotes women’s empowerment, Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have been entrusted with stitching uniforms, generating over ₹40 crore in income for these groups. This initiative creates a sustainable livelihood opportunity while ensuring quality school supplies for students.

The state government has also introduced a comprehensive nutrition program for students. The breakfast and milk scheme, with a budget allocation of ₹720 crore, will benefit nearly 29 lakh students across Telangana. This scheme aims to address nutritional needs and improve the overall health and academic performance of students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
