A high-level delegation from Singapore met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the Assembly to discuss potential investment opportunities in the state’s semiconductor industry. The delegation was led by Augustin Lee, Permanent Secretary of Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, who expressed keen interest in establishing semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Telangana.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy presented an ambitious vision for the state’s future development. He outlined plans for the Musi rejuvenation project, which aims to transform the river with a revitalized riverfront and a vibrant night-time economy. The Chief Minister also highlighted the Bharat Future City project, designed as a Net Zero City to accommodate next-generation industries.
The discussion emphasized Telangana’s strategy to position Hyderabad as a global hub for knowledge, research and education. The state government is actively engaging with prestigious international institutions including Harvard, Oxford, MIT and London Business School to strengthen the city’s academic ecosystem and bring world-class educational opportunities to the region.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extended an invitation to the Singapore delegation to attend the Invest Telangana Global Summit scheduled for December at Bharat Future City. The invitation aims to attract deeper investment commitments, financial cooperation and establish long-term partnerships that will support Telangana’s development trajectory.
The Singapore delegation responded positively to the opportunities presented during the meeting. They expressed particular interest in Telangana’s emerging growth sectors and the state’s strategic plans for industrial and technological advancement. The engagement marks another significant step in Telangana’s efforts to attract international investment from major economic partners.
