CM Revanth Reddy recently opened the Young India Police School near the Greyhounds Campus in Manchirevu, located in Rangareddy district. He was joined at the event by Minister Sridhar Babu, MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, and several government officials. During his visit, the Chief Minister toured the classrooms and even played a game of football with the students.
The foundation stone for the school was laid by CM Revanth Reddy on October 21, 2024, as he had promised earlier. The school was officially inaugurated on April 10, 2025. It has been built on 50 acres of land, showing the government’s commitment to the project.
The Young India Police School is meant to provide quality education to children of police officers, fire service members, excise staff, SPF personnel, prison staff, and others serving in uniformed roles across Telangana. The school features modern, international-level facilities to ensure a top-quality learning environment.
In its first phase, the school will offer classes from 5th to 8th grade. Also, 15 percent of the total seats have been set aside for students from the local area, helping to include the nearby community.
