Hyderabad Water Board Warns Residents Not to Attach Motors to Drains
The Hyderabad Water Board has issued a strong warning to residents. People have been attaching motors to water drains, and the Water Board says this is causing problems with water pressure.
Ashok Reddy, the Managing Director of the Water Board, said that anyone caught using a motor this way will face strict action. Their motor will be taken away, their water connection will be cut, and they will have to pay a fine of ₹5,000.
This warning comes as the city prepares for the dry season. Many people have complained about low water pressure, and the Water Board believes that illegal motors are part of the problem.
To fix the issue, the Water Board will start a special inspection drive from April 15. Officials will check for illegal motors during this drive.
Ashok Reddy also asked people to use water carefully. He said that water should only be used for drinking and not be wasted.
