    The Telangana government is launching new programs to support women on International Women’s Day. A large public meeting will be held at the Secunderabad Parade Ground at 5 PM, with around 100,000 women expected to attend. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will announce the Indira Mahila Shakti Mission at the event. Minister Seethakka, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, and other officials will also be present.

    Since coming to power, the Congress-led government has introduced several schemes to help women become financially independent. Their goal is to turn one crore women into millionaires. Recently, the cabinet approved the Indira Mahila Shakti Mission, which will merge the SARP and MESMA schemes to provide better financial support for women. This mission will bring all women’s groups under one system and evaluate their progress over the past year. It will also introduce new programs under the Indira Mahila Shakti Mission 2025.

    To help women attend the event, the government has arranged over 600 RTC buses to transport them from different districts. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will also launch 150 RTC rental buses operated by Mandal Mahila Samaikhya Sangams. Additionally, agreements will be made with oil companies to set up petrol stations in all 31 districts.

    During the event, loan and accident insurance cheques will be given to members of women’s associations. These groups will also receive financial assistance. Presidents of district women’s associations will collect these cheques, and uniforms and sarees will be given to attendees. Chief Minister Reddy will also visit stalls set up by women’s groups, showing the government’s strong support for women’s empowerment in Telangana.
