He asked officials to restrict the use of ACs and lights in government offices to save electricity. He also said coal supply to the Yadadri power plant has been streamlined.
Revanth Reddy asked officials to give special attention to drinking water supply using the available water resources. He appealed to farmers to cultivate only rainfed crops and vegetables. He directed officials to create awareness about the prevailing drought conditions at all Rythu Vedikas in the state. He also asked for special centres for cattle to provide fodder and drinking water.
The Chief Minister announced a “New Scheme” after the Sankranti festival to provide relief to poor workers amid El Niño conditions. The scheme will run for four months, until May. He also said more job days under the employment scheme will be provided to give relief to labourers.
Revanth Reddy criticised KCR, KTR and Harish Rao for spreading canards against the government over El Niño conditions. He said numerous people died during the Corona period because of the failure of the KCR government.
