The Chief Minister also told vigilance teams to conduct raids, especially on overloaded vehicles that may be involved in illegal activities. He emphasized the need to protect government revenue and take strong action against those misusing legal loopholes to smuggle sand.

The Principal Secretary of Mines & Geology shared that between February 1 and 12, authorities seized 111 vehicles and collected fines worth ₹14.28 lakh from violators. To further control illegal sand transport, the department plans to introduce IT solutions within the next month.
