Collector Visits Anganwadi Center, Stresses on Quality Nutrition and Education
Nagar Kurnool: Collector Badavath Santosh has emphasized the importance of making Anganwadi centers models of quality nutrition and disciplined education. He urged Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) and Anganwadi teachers to work hard to transform these centers into examples for others to follow.
On Saturday, the Collector, along with District Superintendent of Police Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, made a surprise visit to the 5th Anganwadi Center in Bijinapally. During the inspection, he carefully reviewed records, meal registers, timetables, and menus. He also checked the quality of food and eggs being provided to the children and monitored the attendance of pre-school students.
The Collector also measured the height and weight of the children and discussed their growth monitoring reports with the CDPO. He instructed the CDPOs to regularly supervise Anganwadi centers, track the children’s education and growth, and submit detailed reports on their progress.
Additionally, the Collector highlighted the importance of ensuring that only high-quality eggs are provided. He also suggested that Anganwadi teachers use visual aids and toys to teach children rhymes and help with word recognition.
Joining the Collector on this visit were Nagarkurnool DSP Burri Srinivasulu, Bijinapally CDPO Sangeetha, Anganwadi Supervisor Malleshwari, and other local officials.
