District Collector Rahul Sharma has warned bankers against holding back funds meant for government schemes.

During a public grievance hearing at the Collectorate on Monday, the Collector expressed his frustration with bankers. He questioned them about why funds related to schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, Rythu Bharosa, and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund were being delayed. He asked who gave them the authority to withhold payments and warned that action would be taken if this continued.

The Collector responded to a complaint from Yadagiri, a resident of Balayapalli village in Goori Kothapalli Mandal. Yadagiri reported that the Telangana Grameena Bank manager was causing trouble by not releasing funds. Immediately, the Collector called the bank manager to question him.

The Collector was angry that government-provided funds were being used for other loans, creating problems for the public. He made it clear that bank managers do not have the right to make such decisions. He ordered them to release the payments immediately so that people, especially farmers and the rural poor, do not suffer.
