The railway middle gate in Khammam, which had been closed for several months, has finally reopened. This was made possible due to the efforts of Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra. The gate was reopened on Tuesday, allowing pedestrians and vehicles to pass through again.

The closure had been in place because of ongoing work to expand the third platform at Khammam Railway Station. As a result, businesses in Gandhi Chowk, Kaman Bazaar, and nearby areas had suffered for the past four months. Local traders and residents were struggling due to the loss of customers and inconvenience caused by the closure.

Concerned about these difficulties, traders and residents approached MP Ravichandra and explained their problems. In response, he raised the issue during the budget sessions in Parliament and also met with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. He submitted a petition requesting a solution.

Ravichandra also suggested that if the gate had to be permanently removed, alternative routes like a bridge or an underpass should be considered. Taking immediate action, the Railway Minister instructed officials to look into the matter.

Following his request, Minister Vaishnav ordered the reopening of the gate. This brought great relief to the traders, locals, and passengers in the area. They have expressed their gratitude to MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra for his efforts in resolving the issue.
