In a heated exchange, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the opposition Congress party have challenged each other to address the perceived injustice done to Telangana in the recent Union Budget.

K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), a prominent leader of the BRS, urged the Congress-led government to take initiative in Delhi for the welfare of the state. He stated that BRS leaders, including their MLAs and MLCs, are ready to protest alongside cabinet ministers for this cause, no matter how long it takes.

In response, Congress Chief Minister Revanth Reddy agreed and expressed his readiness to start a “Diksha” in Delhi. Reddy emphasized that both he and KCR, the leader of the opposition, are prepared to mobilize for Telangana’s interests. He highlighted the need for a united front to demand adequate funds for the state and suggested that these discussions must happen in the national capital.
