Congress party members in Khammam prayed for the recovery of their leader, Mallu Bhatti Vikramakha, who fell ill due to sunstroke during his 600-kilometre padayatra. Bhatti was advised by doctors to rest for some time to recover from his illness. The party members performed puja in various temples to pray for his speedy recovery.
City convenor MD Javeed praised Bhatti’s efforts and said that his padayatra was receiving a great response. He also mentioned that the padayatra would give more strength to the Congress party in their bid to come to power in the state. The Congress leaders’ puja for Bhatti’s health took place on Saturday in Khammam.
