In Hyderabad, the Congress party is demanding the State government to take strict action against officials involved in the phone-tapping case. They want these officials to be not only dismissed from their positions but also have their properties seized.
The PCC official spokesperson and State Library chairman Dr Riyaz spoke to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, stating that phone tapping is a serious crime with no previous examples. They believe that top government officials implicated in this scandal should be removed from their roles once found guilty.
The Congress leaders are urging Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to take decisive action. They argue that not only should these officials lose their jobs, but their assets should also be confiscated as a deterrent for others. The leaders criticized the previous government for engaging in surveillance activities and claimed that the police force was misused under the current government.
They allege that the phone-tapping operation was directly supervised by Chief Minister KCR and questioned how such a large-scale operation could have been carried out without his knowledge. The leaders are questioning the innocence claims made by KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao in this matter.
