Hyderabad: On Sunday, the Congress party challenged K T Rama Rao of the BRS to back up his claims that Congress sold Group-1 seats. Sampath Kumar, a former MLA and AICC secretary, urged KTR to provide proof that the Chief Minister or ministers were involved in such wrongdoing.

Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy accused KTR of trying to stop the Congress government from creating jobs through the Group-I exams. In a media release, the former Alampur MLA called on KTR to refrain from making broad accusations against the government. Referring to KTR’s remarks at a public meeting in Gadwal, he said KTR attempted to turn the event’s venue into a place of deceit with his unfounded claims against the government.

Kiran Kumar Reddy also sharply criticized KTR’s comments about the Group-I recruitment. In a video message, the MP rejected the allegations that 563 candidates paid three crore rupees each to get selected. He questioned the feasibility of such a claim, asking if any parent could afford that amount. He encouraged the families of chosen candidates to speak out and reveal the truth. He accused KTR of misleading the public for political advantage and emphasized that the Congress, led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, is genuinely working to support unemployed youth.
