Hyderabad: The Congress party suggested that K T Ramarao (KTR) might soon face issues within the Kalvakuntla family after MLC K Kavitha was targeted. They believe that efforts are underway to link KTR to drug-related controversies. Sama Rammohan Reddy, head of the PCC Media Committee, alleged that Harish Rao is trying to control the BRS with the support of the BJP.
On Tuesday, Rammohan Reddy addressed reporters at Gandhi Bhavan. He stated that there is a push to have KTR jailed, similar to the troubles his sister Kavitha faced, which hurt her political career. He accused Harish Rao of trying to sideline KTR and take over the BRS leadership, hinting at BJP’s involvement in this plan. Reddy urged BJP leaders, like Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, to examine these developments closely. He recalled predicting several events accurately, including a secret meeting between KTR and Nara Lokesh.
Reddy further claimed that a strategy to imprison KTR is underway at the Narcotics Control Bureau‘s Bengaluru office. This is based on an actress’s statement during an investigation into a celebrity drug case in Hyderabad. He suggested that this plan aims to elevate a party member, referred to as a ‘troubleshooter’, to a leading position in the BRS by framing KTR. Reddy did not disclose the actress’s name involved in the statement.
