Hyderabad: BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of selling votes to the BJP. He claimed this enabled BJP support in the Vice President of India election.
At a press event in Telangana Bhavan, Kaushik Reddy stated that 15 votes were cross-voted, with eight from Telangana Congress. He accused Revanth Reddy of selling these votes to the BJP.
Kaushik Reddy referred to a tweet by Jairam Ramesh. It mentioned that Congress candidate, former judge Sudarshan Reddy, should have received 315 votes, but only got 300. He questioned the whereabouts of the missing votes and suggested that eight Congress MPs from Telangana voted for the NDA candidate.
He further claimed these eight Congress MPs met Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Nitin Gadkari, as well as the Lok Sabha Speaker. Three MPs allegedly confessed to him about voting for the BJP candidate. Kaushik Reddy accused Revanth Reddy of deceiving Sudarshan Reddy and making payments to Chandrababu Naidu and Modi. He criticized Congress for vote theft in Telangana.
