The Congress has accused the government of supporting those who commit crimes against women and has demanded justice for female wrestlers who have accused a BJP MP of sexual harassment. The opposition party made the statement as farmers and Khap members blocked the Rohtak-Delhi National Highway for two hours in support of the wrestlers, farmers, and other issues. Congress’ AICC secretary, Vineet Punia, claimed that the Modi government stands with those who persecute women instead of supporting their demands for justice. The wrestlers have been protesting for two months, and the government has given them a glimmer of hope, prompting them to halt their protest. The Congress party supports the daughters of the country and wants to see justice served. Any action taken should be based on justice and not political, regional, caste, or religious views.
