The Congress has filed a complaint against the BRS government regarding the Kaleshwaram project. They are calling for an investigation into what they believe is a major irrigation project scam and want those involved to be punished.

Former AICC member Bakka Judson submitted a complaint to Commissioner, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). He claims that the State government spent Rs 1.35 lakh crores without proper scientific study or a detailed project report. Judson also alleges that the government used incorrect engineering plans and gave the project to a company with a good reputation, only to later award the tenders to their close friends who are sub-contractors.

Judson recalls an incident in July 2022 when water entered the Medigadda Lakshmi barrage and submerged 17 motor pump sets at the Kannepalli pump house. He had previously filed a complaint with the Central Water Commission but no action was taken. Judson believes that this project is an example of corruption and that it has resulted in significant financial kickbacks.
