Patancheru MLA G Mahipal Reddy recently joined the Congress party, with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy welcoming him at an event in Jubilee Hills. Mahipal Reddy is now the third MLA to switch from BRS to Congress in just one week, following Rajendranagar MLA T Prakash Goud and Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi.

Initially, Mahipal Reddy’s move to Congress was delayed due to resistance from local party leaders. Discussions took place at former Minister Danam Nagender’s residence before he finally joined the party at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. Ministers and other leaders from Patancheru also accompanied him to show support.
