On Sunday, a group of Congress leaders in Khammam led by district president Puvvala Durga Prasad were arrested by the police during a protest rally over the TSPSC paper leak issue. The leaders demanded the dismissal of Minister K T Rama Rao from the cabinet, alleging his responsibility for the issue, and called for an inquiry by a sitting High Court judge into the scam. They also demanded that CM KCR and TPSC Chairman step down, owning moral responsibility for the leak which affected the future prospects of lakhs of youth. The Congress leaders raised slogans against the BRS government and burnt an effigy of CM KCR. However, following a scuffle with the police, arrests were made of the Congress leaders.
