The Hyderabad city police Commissioner, Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, recently briefed Election Commission Observers, Hyderabad District Election Officer, and Returning Officers on the preparations for the ongoing Lok Sabha election. The meeting took place at ICCC, Banjara Hills, where various officials were present.
During the meeting, Commissioner Sreenivasa Reddy discussed arrangements for the elections, implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, enforcement work, and seizures of items like cash and liquor. He also outlined measures to be taken in the last 72 hours, last 48 hours, and last 24 hours leading up to polling day.
Discussions also covered critical polling locations, availability of CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces), and security arrangements at the DRC centres/strong rooms post-polling. It was emphasized that ECI instructions would be strictly followed without any room for complaints.
Additional officials present at the meeting included Additional Police Commissioner Vikram Singh Mann, Hyderabad DEO Ronald Rose, general observers Dr Saroj Kumar and P Sreevidya, police observer Shashank Anand, and expenditure observers Amit Shukla and S Senthil Kumaran. ROs Anudeep Durishetty, Hemanta Keshav Patil, and Madhukar Naik were also in attendance.
