VC Sajjanar, the City Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad, has issued a strong warning about the risks of using mobile phones and earphones while driving. He highlighted that these habits not only jeopardize the driver’s safety but also pose a threat to passengers and other road users, potentially causing accidents.

Sajjanar pointed out a worrying increase in auto rickshaw, cab, and bike taxi drivers getting distracted by their phones on the road. He made it clear that this behavior is dangerous and will not be tolerated.

In response, the Hyderabad traffic police will enforce stricter rules, with heavy fines for those breaking traffic laws. Stressing the importance of road safety, Sajjanar stated, “There is no problem bigger than life.” He called on all drivers and road users to prioritize safety and work together to prevent accidents for safer roads.
