CPI State Secretariat Member Takkalapally Srinivas Rao addressed a meeting near Kuravi in Mahabubabad district on Monday. He criticized the BRS government for not providing any land to the poor during their ten-year rule in Telangana. Rao accused the government of deceiving the people with schemes like Gruha Laxmi, Dalit Bandhu, and BC Bandhu. He alleged that the selection of beneficiaries is biased towards BRS workers, as per the ruling party leaders’ wishes.

Rao stated that the BRS government has only started implementing welfare schemes now because elections are approaching. However, he believes that the people will not be fooled by these tactics anymore and will not trust the government. The CPI will continue to fight for the distribution of land to the homeless, despite facing false cases.

Rao also criticized both the BJP-led Centre and the BRS government for their failure to create employment opportunities. He mentioned that the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities have made life difficult for the common man. The meeting was attended by several other CPI leaders from Mahabubabad district.
