Creative celebration at the ‘Kairos’ literary festival

The literary event called “Kairos: A World Betwixt Words” was held at Osmania University. It was organized by the first and second-year students of the English Department. The event was attended by important guests such as the vice-chancellor of Osmania University, the registrar of Osmania University, and the principal of UCAS Osmania University.

After a seven-year break, this literary fest was a lively celebration of creativity and intellect. Around 170 participants from different colleges in the city took part in various competitions. These competitions included traditional events like spelling bees and extemporaneous speaking, as well as intellectually stimulating activities such as literary quizzes. There were also entertaining activities like dumb charades.

The dumb charades event put its own twist on the game by using novels and poems written by famous authors instead of movies. This made it both entertaining and educational, connecting the participants with the world of literature.

The festival also had impromptu story-writing and original poetry recitation competitions. There was a literary collage competition that combined literature with visual arts. Participants were given the chance to express themselves through literary memes, performing texts, and other performing arts.

The performing arts segment was the highlight of the festival. Participants showcased a range of talents, including singing, scenes from Macbeth, poetry recitations, and other performances. Little Flower Degree College emerged as the overall winner of the competitions.

Overall, the festival left a lasting impact on Osmania University. It brought together diverse talents and celebrated language and creativity. “Kairos” became a memorable event in the university’s cultural calendar.
