    Senior IPS officer Rajiv Ratan, who served as the Director General of Telangana Vigilance and Enforcement, passed away on Tuesday due to a cardiac arrest while receiving treatment at a private hospital. He had complained of chest pain in the morning, and despite efforts to save him, he could not be revived. Rajiv Ratan’s final rites are scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the Mahaprasthanam.

    Rajiv Ratan, a 1991 batch IPS officer, held various positions throughout his career, including IG Operation, MD of Police Housing Corporation, and SP of Karimnagar. His colleagues and peers in the police department were shocked by his sudden demise, especially as he was set to retire in the next six months. IPS officers visited the hospital to pay their respects to their fallen colleague.

    Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy both expressed their deep condolences for Rajiv Ratan’s passing. The Governor highlighted Rajiv Ratan’s dedication and service to the police department, while the Chief Minister praised his efficiency and sincerity in carrying out his duties. Rajiv Ratan’s recent work on the vigilance and enforcement inquiry on the Medigadda barrage was also noted in tribute to his legacy.
