Cyclone preparedness reviewed by National Crisis Management Committee

The Indian government has promised to help Gujarat deal with the approaching cyclone called ‘Biparjoy’. Officials have advised fishermen to stay on land and have called back those who are already at sea. They have also prepared a list of villages that need to be evacuated. The State Disaster Response Force and the National Disaster Response Force are being deployed to help. The Coast Guard, Army, and Navy are also on standby with their teams, ships, and aircrafts to assist in rescue and relief efforts. Regular alerts and advisories are being sent out to all stakeholders by the DG, Shipping.
