A campaign was held in Khammam to educate voters about EVMs and VVPATs. The District Collector VP Gautham flagged off mobile demonstration vans for this purpose. The vans will travel to different villages in each assembly constituency to spread awareness.
The District Collector urged the public to check if their names are on the voter lists. They can verify this information with anganwadi teachers, panchayat secretaries, VRIs in rural areas, or municipal bill collectors in urban areas. If anyone is above 18 years old by October 1, 2023, and has not registered as a voter, they should contact these officials to get their names added to the voter lists.
Special centers have been set up at the collectorate, municipal offices, and tahsildar offices to provide information about the functioning of EVMs. People can visit these centers to learn about the voting process and how EVMs and VVPATs work.
