Mumbai City FC will face off against Chennaiyin FC on April 19th in a virtual knockout game in the Super Cup. Mumbai City recently lost 2-1 to NorthEast United FC in a game they dominated. Despite this, head coach Des Buckingham was pleased with his team’s performance. He believes they are well-prepared to face Chennaiyin, who will be playing at full strength. Mumbai City has won all three meetings against Chennaiyin this season, but Buckingham expects an exciting game as both teams need to win to stand a chance of progressing. Buckingham is also proud of his young all-Indian squad, regardless of which players take the pitch. The game will take place at the Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri, Kerala.
