Naidu was in the city for a TDP event and to meet a party member who was injured during a protest. After the event, Naidu was at the airport to return to Kuppam, while Shivakumar was there to catch a flight to Nagpur for a Congress event. The two leaders exchanged pleasantries and had a brief conversation, with their security staying away.
