Vivrant Sharma: Lesser-Known Facts About SRH’s ‘Find of The Season’

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has given young cricketers a platform to perform and gain instant popularity. The Sunrisers Hyderabad team is known for tapping into young talent. This season, Vivrant Sharma has emerged as a promising cricketer. He is a left-handed player who made waves after his breathtaking 69 off 47 balls at the Wankhede stadium against the Mumbai Indians on Sunday.

Vivrant hails from Jammu and Kashmir, like Umran Malik and other young players who have made a name for themselves in the IPL. He is a die-hard Yuvraj Singh fan and has taken inspiration from him. Vivrant is also good at hitting big, as he showed in his knock of 69 with two monstrous sixes.

Not many people know that Vivrant started out as a bowler with the Sunrisers Hyderabad team as a net bowler on the recommendation of Abdul Samad. He used to bowl leg-spin but was recognised for his big-hitting abilities during range-hitting training at the SRH nets.

Vivrant’s elder brother, Vikrant, had dreams of becoming a cricketer, which inspired Vivrant to follow the sport. After their father passed away, Vikrant had to give up his dream to support their family financially. He then supported Vivrant financially to continue playing cricket.

Vivrant Sharma is the ‘find of the season’ for SRH, and his future looks bright in the IPL.
