Wanaparthy District:
District Collector Adarsh Surabhi visited the IKP paddy purchase center located near Kalvarala village in Veepanagandla mandal. During his inspection, he emphasized the importance of timely loading of paddy once it meets the required moisture levels.
The Collector stated that farmers should not be kept waiting for long periods. He urged officials to take necessary steps to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience or difficulties at the purchase centers.
Adarsh Surabhi directed the PPC (Primary Procurement Center) in-charge to maintain a proper register. This register should include details of how many farmers are bringing paddy to the center and the quantity of paddy being delivered.
He also instructed that once the paddy is loaded, the truck sheet should be sent to the paddy mill without delay. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of ensuring that farmers receive their payments immediately after the paddy is sent to the mill.
Veepanagandla MPDO Srinivas, along with other officials, accompanied the District Collector during the visit.
