Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has instructed officials to start reviewing applications for the Land Regularization Scheme (LRS).
On Tuesday, a review meeting was held in the conference hall of the Collector’s office. The focus was on LRS applications, and relevant officials attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the District Collector stressed the importance of efficiently handling LRS applications in the district. He asked about the total number of applications, the number of teams formed, their distribution methods, the personnel needed, and how applications are classified by municipality and gram panchayats.
The Collector mentioned that the applications will be reviewed by teams made up of Revenue Inspectors, Town Planning Supervisors, and Assistant Engineers from the Irrigation Department for each village and municipality. These field-level inspection teams will be trained under the supervision of the Centre for Good Governance (CGG). Measures will be taken to ensure these teams conduct timely field verifications. Officials will receive login IDs to review LRS applications online. The Collector instructed the officials to aim for a complete resolution of all LRS applications.
After discussing LRS, the Collector also reviewed the Swachhata and Haritha (Clean and Green) program being undertaken by the municipalities.
Additional Collector Narsing Rao, ZP CEO Kanthamma, AO Veerabhadrappa, Irrigation EE Srinivas, District Town Planning Officer Kurmanna, Municipal Commissioners, and other related officials attended the meeting.
