Mancherial: District Collector Kumar Deepak announced that special steps will be taken to improve rural areas. He shared this during a meeting held on Monday to discuss development plans for rural regions. The meeting was conducted in the collector’s hall at the district office complex in Naspur.
The discussion focused on ongoing development works under the Rural Development Department. One of the key projects includes building B.T. roads to connect villages with more than 250 people to the mandal centers. A detailed report on the condition of these roads and the necessary repairs should be prepared, following the rules. The Collector also emphasized the need to speed up other public welfare projects, such as pensions, underground water supply, bridges, and segregation sheds.
From October 15th to 19th, members from the National Level Monitors of the Center for Rural Management will visit ten selected gram panchayats across four mandals in the district. They will inspect the ongoing development projects in these villages. The officials were also urged to work together on schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sanchai Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. These schemes focus on providing irrigation water, drinking water, and improving internal roads that connect villages to mandal centers.
