Complete Immunization for Every Child is Mandatory: Dr. Ravi Kumar Naik
Nagarkurnool District Immunization Officer, Dr. Ravi Kumar Naik, stressed the importance of full immunization for all children in the district. He stated that newborns must receive BCG, Polio, and Hepatitis B vaccines within 24 hours of birth to ensure their health and protection.
On Thursday, Dr. Naik conducted a surprise inspection at tribal primary health centers in Vatvarlapally and Mannanur Mandal. He also visited sub-health centers in Domalapenta and Egalapenta to check the immunization process.
During his visit, he emphasized that every child should receive vaccines on time. He also instructed healthcare workers to record the details of vaccinated pregnant women and children in the U-WIN portal.
In addition to reviewing the immunization process, Dr. Naik checked the attendance registers, medicine stocks, vaccine storage, and outpatient service records at the health centers.
District Vaccine Store Manager Kumar, along with supervisory staff members Yadagiri and Abdul Saleem, as well as medical staff from primary health centers, participated in the inspection.
