Karimnagar: Doctors at Medicover Hospital warned people about the risks of seasonal fevers, which can harm the brain, kidneys, liver, and heart. During a press conference on Saturday, they emphasized the importance of precautions, especially for those living in rural areas.
Neurophysician Dr. Sanjay Kumar highlighted the danger of prolonged fevers. He advised that if a fever lasts more than two or three days, individuals should avoid self-medicating and see a doctor for blood tests to assess infection levels.
The doctors explained that there are no medications to boost platelet counts directly; platelets increase naturally with strong immunity. They stressed the importance of consulting doctors for all seasonal illnesses to prevent severe health issues. Additionally, they cautioned against using leaf potions to treat low platelets caused by dengue.
