GITAM Deemed to be University has appointed Dr. Errol D’Souza as its new Vice-Chancellor.
GITAM President Sribharat expressed his excitement about this decision. He mentioned that he was impressed with Dr. D’Souza’s alignment with the university’s vision. He also highlighted Dr. D’Souza’s strong commitment to honesty and compassion, values that will help guide the institution forward.
Dr. Errol D’Souza is a well-known Professor of Economics. He currently holds the position of IFCI Chair Professor at the University of Mumbai and India Chair Professor at Sciences Po in Paris. Previously, he served as the Director of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A).
Dr. D’Souza completed his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He also holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Mumbai, where he received the prestigious Kashinath Trimbak Telang gold medal for academic excellence.
