Khammam: Support has been voiced for Nitin Gadkari’s proposal to remove the 18 percent Goods and Services Tax (GST) on life and medical insurance premiums.
The argument is that taxing such premiums adds a financial burden and restricts the growth of the insurance sector. It is believed that those who seek to protect their families from life’s uncertainties should not have to pay extra taxes on their insurance premiums.
