Driver unharmed after coal truck fire

A coal lorry narrowly avoided disaster on Thursday in Kothagudem. The driver escaped unharmed after the vehicle caught fire because of an electrical issue.

The incident happened near Shanti Nagar in Annapureddypalle mandal. The lorry was returning to Sathupalli after delivering coal at the Rudrampur coal plant. Sources say the fire started in the cabin due to a short circuit in the engine.

The driver, whose name remains undisclosed, managed to jump out just in time, escaping injury. Locals quickly notified the fire department, which arrived promptly to put out the blaze. Unfortunately, the fire severely damaged the engine and the inside of the vehicle.
