District In-charge Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha has taken a firm stand to safeguard farmers in Mahabubnagar and Narayanpet districts. He instructed officials to crack down on the sale of fake seeds. During a meeting at the Collectorate on Friday, he emphasized that those involved in selling counterfeit seeds must face legal actions immediately. Negligence in this matter will not be tolerated.
The meeting covered important topics such as upcoming agricultural plans, seed and fertilizer supplies, paddy purchase, the Indiramma housing scheme, seasonal health issues, and the progress of government programs. Jupally Krishna Rao, another district minister, stressed the need to collect overdue payments from rice millers, which total Rs 53 crore in Narayanpet. He highlighted the government’s unique initiative of offering a bonus to paddy farmers, attributing this achievement to the current administration.
Rajanarasimha urged officials to expedite the building of Indiramma houses and resolve land matters via the Bhu Bharati portal. He pledged to present the MLAs’ requests for housing list approvals to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
In healthcare, the Minister called for early measures to tackle seasonal illnesses like dengue. He assured that Mahabubnagar Hospital will soon be equipped with an MRI machine, CT scan, a Regional Cancer Centre, and an Organ Retrieval Centre. Public health measures, including fogging operations, will be increased, especially in high-risk areas.
