Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has set an ambitious deadline of December 9, 2026 for the completion of Radial Road-1, a critical infrastructure project connecting Kongarakalan to Future City in Hyderabad. The announcement came during a high-level review meeting where the Chief Minister outlined his government’s commitment to transforming the city’s road infrastructure and ensuring seamless connectivity for its growing population.
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy issued strict directives to resolve all pending hurdles that have been delaying radial road projects across the city. He emphasized the need to accelerate construction activities while maintaining uncompromising quality standards. The Chief Minister specifically instructed officials to ensure proper soil selection and adherence to engineering standards to prevent future structural issues that could compromise road safety and durability.
The government has prioritized environmental sustainability alongside infrastructure development. Officials have been directed to develop lush greenery on both sides of the roads to create sustainable urban corridors. This initiative aims to balance rapid urbanization with ecological preservation, ensuring that Hyderabad’s infrastructure projects contribute to a healthier urban environment while meeting the city’s transportation needs.
Several other major road projects received attention during the review meeting. The Chief Minister ordered expedited work on the Badvel Interchange Trumpet, a key connectivity project that will enhance traffic flow in the region. He also directed authorities to speed up construction of Elevated Corridors I and II, which are crucial for reducing traffic congestion in high-density areas of the city.
A new directive was issued to begin construction of Elevated Corridor III from Banjara Hills to Shilpa Layout Road without any further delay. The Chief Minister emphasized that land acquisition processes for all ongoing and proposed road projects must be fast-tracked to prevent delays in execution. He stressed that bureaucratic hurdles should not stand in the way of completing infrastructure projects that are vital for the city’s future growth.
In a significant move to improve road safety and traffic management, Revanth Reddy instructed officials to involve the Traffic Police in road planning and construction processes. This collaborative approach aims to ensure that new infrastructure projects are designed with traffic flow, road safety, and future urban requirements in mind.
