In Hyderabad, BJP Malkajgiri Lok Sabha candidate Eatala Rajender challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, stating that he would leave politics if the Chief Minister fulfills the promise of waiving farm loans without selling lands in Hyderabad. Speaking at a road show in Dammaiguda in the Medchal Assembly constituency, he compared CM Revanth Reddy’s rhetoric to that of former CM K Chandrashekar Rao. Rajender highlighted that many promises made by the chief minister and his party during the State Assembly elections have not been fulfilled, except for RTC free bus travel for women.
He mentioned that schemes like new pensions for the disabled, women, and under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme have not been implemented as promised. Additionally, he criticized the Congress for failing to deliver on promises such as providing scooters to girl students and financial aid to auto drivers. Rajender also dismissed the chief minister’s excuse of inheriting an empty treasury from former CM KCR, and questioned the likelihood of Congress fulfilling its electoral promises even if they win 17 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming parliament elections.
Furthermore, Rajender criticized BRS leaders KCR and KT Rama Rao for questioning the significance of chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in relation to food and employment. He highlighted the developmental work done by the Modi government in providing housing for the poor and improving railway stations and airports, contrasting it with the lack of similar initiatives by BRS leaders. Rajender emphasized that people will take care of their needs and criticized the BRS leaders for their lack of action in building houses for the underprivileged.
