    The Election Commission has started a two-day campaign to help young voters register online. The campaign will also focus on new voter registration and correcting existing voter data.

    Earlier in the day, CEO Vikas Raj flagged off a 5K run as part of the Hyderabad Marathon. He encouraged participants to enroll as voters and prioritize voting in elections. He expressed concern about urban voter apathy and the declining polling percentage among urban and youth populations.

    The main event, the Running Festival, will take place on Sunday. Full and half marathons will be flagged off at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, and the 10K run will start at Hitex, Madhapur.

    Over 21,000 participants from 30 states and UTs, as well as from around the world, are expected to take part in this year’s event. This includes 5,000 women and 500 participants from 14 NGOs. The marathon is focused on being environmentally friendly, with 250 volunteers helping with recycling and keeping it green.

    The CEO of Telangana is carrying out various outreach activities to improve voter enrollment and polling percentage. This includes campus enrollment drives at colleges, where officials will be available to provide voter-related services during the campaign.
