Hyderabad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned actor Prakash Raj for over five hours on Wednesday about a money laundering case related to illegal online betting and gambling platforms.
The ED also called actors Rana Daggubati, Vijay Deverakonda, and Lakshmi Manchu for questioning. These celebrities allegedly promoted online betting apps that generated illegal funds.
Officials said the agency recorded Prakash Raj’s statements and requested documents about his financial dealings with the betting apps. After the questioning, Prakash Raj told reporters that he did not receive any endorsement money from the app company and had only promoted one betting app in 2016.
