TTD in Tirumala Makes Changes Due to Election Code
TTD has announced changes to VIP darshan and accommodation in Tirumala due to the model code of conduct coming into effect after the announcement of election dates. Letters of recommendation for accommodation and darshan will not be accepted, except for protocol dignitaries who come by themselves. The changes are effective immediately.
The decision to cancel letters of recommendation was made by the TTD Trust Board in light of the Lok Sabha and Assembly election code. TTD has asked devotees and VIPs to cooperate with the management during this time.
These changes will be in place until the election results are announced and the model code of conduct ends. TTD will consider reviving these facilities after the code of conduct is lifted.
